Overhead cable pathway installed by JDP Communications

Cameras & CCTV

Commercial security cameras, installed on the cabling we pull, power, and test ourselves.

What we install

A camera is only as reliable as the cable behind it. A drop that was never tested under PoE load browns out, and the symptom is a camera that drops off the recorder at night, right when you need the footage.

We walk the site, plan coverage with you, mount and aim the cameras, and certify every drop that feeds them. We set up the recorder in your communications room, configure the system, and label every camera and cable so it is easy to service later. We install UniFi Protect, so the cameras, the recorder, and the network run as one system, recording to hardware you own.

Common questions

Cameras & CCTV FAQ

Do you install the cameras, or just the cabling?

Both. We pull and certify the cabling, mount and aim the cameras, set up the recorder, and hand you a labeled, documented system.

What camera system do you install?

We standardize on UniFi Protect, so the cameras, the recorder, and the network are one system managed from one place.

How many cameras do I need, and where do they go?

That comes from a site walk. We go through the building with you, mark the entries, lots, and areas that matter, and count cameras and cable runs before anything is quoted.

Why do cameras drop offline?

Most dropouts trace back to the cable: a bad termination, a run that is too long, or a drop that was never tested under PoE load. We test every drop we install so each camera has stable power and a stable link.
