What we design & install
Eight trades, one standard: every run terminated, tested, and labeled. American-made, solid-copper cable only, never copper-clad aluminum.
01 · Copper & fiber
Structured network cabling
High-speed cabling systems for voice, video, and data. We design, rough-in, pull, terminate, and dress Cat6/Cat6A copper and fiber backbone to TIA-568 standards, from a 10-drop suite to a 1,000-drop campus. Every run is Fluke-tested and labeled before we hand it over.

Communications rooms
Communication cabinets, equipment racks, backup power, and distributed power, set clean, level, grounded, and organized. We build the room your network lives in: ladder rack, cable management, patch panels, and labeling that a tech can read five years from now.

03 · Critical systems
Data center buildouts
Racks, cabinets, fiber backbones, and power distribution that keep critical systems online. Every run is dressed, labeled, tested, and built to scale, with certified test reports delivered at handoff.

Conference rooms
Displays, Zoom and Teams rooms, cameras, speakers, and microphones, installed on cabling we pull and certify ourselves. One contractor owns the room, so it joins the call on the first try instead of on the third.

05 · Demarc & MPOE
Telecom & ISP circuits
All MPOE circuits: POTS, DSL, T1, T3, Ethernet, coax, fiber, and EOC. We extend the demarc, land the circuit, and get your carrier handoff to the rack, clean and documented.

Wireless networks
Wi-Fi, DAS, and point-to-point links designed from a site survey rather than a floor plan guess, on drops that are certified under PoE load so access points do not brown out.

Testing & maintenance
Cable testing and diagnostics that resolve slow speeds, dropouts, and connectivity issues. Fluke certification, labeled reports, and moves/adds/changes that keep your infrastructure documented as it grows.

Cameras & CCTV
Commercial security cameras installed on cabling we pull and test ourselves. UniFi Protect cameras and recorder, mounted, aimed, configured, and labeled.

Common questions
Services FAQ
What does a low-voltage contractor do?
A low-voltage contractor installs the cabling and systems that run below 50 volts: structured network cabling (Cat6/Cat6A and fiber), communications rooms and racks, conference room displays and video conferencing, security cameras, wireless networks, and telecom circuits. JDP Communications is a licensed California low-voltage contractor (CSLB #1061737) serving commercial buildings across Southern California.
Do you only use American-made cable?
Yes. We install American-made, solid-copper cable only. We never install copper-clad aluminum (CCA) cable, which fails performance and fire-safety standards.
Is every cable run tested?
Yes: 100% of the cables we install are tested and certified, with labeled test reports delivered at handoff. We've pulled over 2.3 million linear feet of cable to this standard.
What areas do you serve?
Orange County. Not sure we cover your building? Call or text 949.334.2852 and we'll tell you straight. See our service areas.
